A Note About Candida
A Worm Out series wouldn’t be complete without a mention of Candida.
Candida is a bacterial overgrowth which millions of Americans have. Candida and parasites often go together and many of the affected symptoms are the same. Many of the same sources of parasites can lead to candida as well. Antibiotic overuse, oral contraceptives, stress, diabetes, decreased immune systems and over consumption of fermented foods can lead to candida overgrowth.
Fortunately, many of the herbs in Worm Out are quite effective against Candida as well. Candida is fairly easy to diagnose with an MD or holistic practitioner. We often hear from individuals who use Worm Out prior to following a candida protocol. If you complete Worm Out and continue to struggle with symptoms, it might be worth it to look into candida with your healthcare provider.
Candida is generally more difficult to balance and “get rid of” than parasites are, it can take 6 months or longer to fully get a candida overgrowth under control.
We hope that you’ve learned a lot about parasites, gut health and Worm Out over the last 14 weeks. Please feel free to reach out with any other questions or concerns. I’m a blogger, not a doctor, and I don’t want this to be viewed as medical advice. I’m simply sharing my experiences and observations with you. If you believe you have a parasite please visit with a trusted practitioner.
