Top 10 Tips For Deciding Which Formula(s) to Use

FAQ- How do I decide what formulas to use and when? Sometimes when you have a sick kid you want someone to tell you exactly what to do to make them better. Because we’re not licensed healthcare practitioners we can’t prescribe what exactly you should use.  We get it, sometimes it gets overwhelming to navigate all the choices and decide what is best for your family.  We hope these tips will help you make the right selection.

  1. First and foremost, trust your instincts you CAN & will figure out what’s best!

  2. You’ll get optimal results if you alternate complementary products– Allow each formula a chance to work by giving it a minimum of 30 minutes in the body before starting the next one for the best results.

  3. Read through our Herb of the Day posts to help determine which herbs are most effective for your health concern.

  4. Look at reviews to see how other customers have effectively used the products.
(Also check out the the “How YOU use it” posts for each Item of the Month product!)

  5. Consider our Wellness Kits.  These are carefully crafted kits of products that work synergistically with one another.

  6. Avoid using products with an opposite effect at the same time (for example, tonic herbs such as N R G can actually strengthen an illness and should not be used alongside a product designed to combat illness).

  7. Consult an herbalist, naturopath, functional medicine doctor or other practitioner for guidance.

  8. Read through Shonda Parker’s books to learn more about herbs.

  9. Select your formulas with the use of our “Health Concerns” section.  This is especially useful to see which formulas appear under multiple categories you’re hoping to address.

  10. Reach out for help.  While we can’t prescribe, we love to answer questions and provide information for you!  Feel free to email or call us with your questions.
