“How do I get rid of worms?”
This is a very common question and for good reason.
There are so many types of Parasites and worms, some that are life threatening and some that aren’t. They vary from Malaria to tapeworms to ringworm, just to name a few. One should know that most experts believe at a minimum 1 out of 3 people have parasites and a lot think it could be as high as 80%. Most of these parasites in the USA are not life threatening and live in the intestines and these are the ones we will address here.
Roundworms are the most common of parasites or worms found inside a dog that end up in children. Eggs, or worm larvae, live in the soil and get into the body of the pet or child. This usually occurs when you touch your mouth, so just being a kid and having fun outside or playing with the family pet can lead to having parasites and roundworms.
Malaria is a type of parasite that kills over 1 Million people a year, but there are only about 1,200 cases a year in the USA. If you have just traveled abroad and have these symptoms: fever, chills, headaches, sweats, fatigue, nausea and vomiting then you need to see a doctor.
But how do you know if you have Parasites? We are addressing the parasites that are NOT life-threatening with our program. We tend to feed these parasites very well here in the USA! What are the symptoms of Parasites?
At first, it can start with bloating, digestion problems, abdominal pain, change in bowel movements then as the parasites grow in population the immune is weakened. Since most parasites live in the intestines, they get to the food you eat first – you lose minerals and vitamins and therefore get tired and fatigued. You could have skin rashes, anemia (remember the parasites take your minerals including the iron), change in sexual desire/dysfunction, itching, mood swings, unclear thinking, change in sleep patterns, change in weight-up or down, sudden allergies, and what I notice the most is a craving for what parasites love the most … sugar. Also note that some parasites show no symptoms at all.
The cravings are usually for starchy, unhealthy foods and in a manner you just can’t seem to control anymore. There is one thing I try to take note of – If I have the parasites in control, I feel in control of my diet and what I eat. I can turn down a dessert without hesitation. Plus, I’ve noticed over the years that parasites hide in the body and wait. All it takes is one candy bar, one dessert of sugar feeding and the population grows and the cravings start again. During the parasite cleanse we ask that you look at your diet to help the process. We try to make it as simple as we can for good reasons. First, we ask that you drink water. Sounds easy. Why? Drinking anything like sodas and fruit drinks FEED the parasites and invite them to stay. Eat more veggies. Why? More fiber to help get to those pockets in the intestines where they hide.
