Summertime begs for campfires and roasting marshmallows. Store-bought marshmallows are no longer made with marshmallow root but traditionally were. Homemade marshmallows with the root are fairly easy to make following a recipe such as this. Marshmallow root is high in mucilage which lends it as a favorite among herbalists for respiratory conditions. With an extremely mild flavor, marshmallow can be added to a number of herbal preparations, and also be used externally as a poultice.

This plant is extremely easy to grow and has beautiful pale pink flowers. Growing up to 4 feet tall, althea offincialis, is found most commonly along the East Coast. Leaves are round with small lobes and often look hairy along the stem and back. Roots should be harvested after the first frost, then should be peeled and roasted before using.

Elizabeth has this to say about Tummy Plus–
“My stomach has been giving me grief a lot at night recently and I thought I would try this product. It works wonderfully and almost immediately!”
Brittany found relief with UriCare–
“I ordered this after I had a UTI that did not go away with the use of antibiotics (I even followed the directions EXACTLY; took the whole bottle, evenly spaced intervals, etc.). I did not want to take MORE antibiotics, especially because I’m nursing. I ended up using the whole 2 oz. bottle, but the UTI is gone and has not returned. Worth every penny!”
