Avoiding Black Friday Crowds

Black Friday has become a holiday in and of itself hasn’t it?  We head out in droves hoping to get the best deal possible on this epic shopping day.  You’ll be hard-pressed to find an American who doesn’t know what Black Friday is.

There is another day that local retailers hope will gain just as much traction, Small Business Saturday.  This movement officially began in 2010 as a way for small businesses to garnish more business and attention during a busy shopping weekend.

This year: Avoid black Friday crowds!Small Business have been embracing this day by offering great deals, giveaways, and fun events.  Children’s stores are known for having story time, parties for kids, and more!

Local newspapers have begun to cover Small Business Saturday and highlight some of the offerings available.  In many areas, the entire neighborhood gets involved with outdoor holiday activities and carolers.

Small Business Saturday is a fun day to help support your local economy (plus you get to avoid the crowds!).  We’re excited to hear about some of the businesses you connect with this year.
